RAIDE IDE Silicon Image 680
На днях на новую маму ASUS M2N-Delux (Nforce570 AM2) у которой тока 1 IDE разьем
а у меня куча винтов и приводов IDE
купил контроллер RAIDE IDE Silicon Image 680 который понимает 4 IDE девайса (цена 20$)
контроллер древний разработан еще 2001 году
в линуксе пашет как родной драйвер интегрирован в ядро с 2002 года(!)
во фре не пашет- не видит устройства (DVD-ROM,HDD )!!!!!!!!????????????
в винде на разных тачках XP драйвер не стартует, (код ошибки 10) стоит знак восклицания, пробовал разные версии дров, даже за 2008 год (!)
прошивал разную прошивку (2007 и 2008 года !) по умолчанию была за 2005 год

Загрузите систему в режиме "verbose logging" и продемонстрируйте ваш файл /var/run/dmesg.boot

Попробуйте патч: http://butcher.heavennet.ru/patches/ker ... i/ata.diff
Если заработает, покажите весь dmesg.boot (с включеным verbose logging), можно на pastebin.ru. Судя по всему у вас не выделяются ресурсы для MMIO, проблема может быть из-за конфликта с другим устройством, а может и в самом контроллере отключено..

и как этот патч пробовать, пересобирать ядро, как то его накатив на исходник? можно в подробностях?
в винде на 4 тачках не стартуют дрова на целеронах, дома AM/2
поменял на другую карточку у продовца та же история
продавец говорит что у него в винде пашет
у меня пашет с него тока загрузка с диска
мандрива с этого контролера грузится и даже пишет диски
думаю прикол с биосом или типа ID у железки не такой как стандартный
а по поводу фри она вообще такое железо знает?

а по поводу фри она вообще такое железо знает?
Поддерживается, но в вашем случае драйвер не подключается, возвращает ошибку. я извиняюсь то я исходники обновлял и файл затерся
пересобрал
терерь если вставить карточку то вылазит типа kernel panic
c перезагрузкой через 15 сек (ядро с конфига GENERIC)
пишет типа

Некода было проверить ковырялся в 1С вот пишу

пробовал правда тока cd-rom но думаю с винтом проблем не будет

GEOM_LABEL похоже пытается метку читать и завивисает но думаю это проблемы его а не контроллера

А после загрузки-то читает диск? Если glabel виснет, то видимо не может прочитать.. Идентификация устройства это ещё полдела. Если будет возможность, попробуйте подключить HDD и `diskinfo -t adXX` для него сделать. Если всё хорошо будет, патч включат в CURRENT.

подвисало похоже из за покоцанного диска в приводе
Можно подробнее в чем проблема хотелось бы разобратся чтоб и под виндой контроллер заработал
в какую сторону копать
раз такое дело и я тут выступил в роле бэтта тестера
то привожу полный dmeg на нем висит dvd-rw
кажись начало побрилось
ядро с урезанными SCSI и RAIDE на GENERIC тоже все пашет

Тут скорее FreeBSD-специфичная проблема. Драйвер на этапе инициализации пытается выделить ресурсы для работы с контроллером. Это у него не получается и он возвращает ошибку. Linux'овый драйвер, в этом случае пытается воспользоваться стандартным для АТА методом работы с контроллером. Видимо Сорену (sos@freebsd.org) не встречалась раньше подобная проблема. Возможно у виндового драйвера подобная проблема, но как вы её исправите без доступа к исходникам, я не знаюgonzo111 писал(а): Можно подробнее в чем проблема хотелось бы разобратся чтоб и под виндой контроллер заработал в какую сторону копать
Может если принудительно назначить контроллеру какой-то "базовый IDE" драйвер..
