попробуй обновить переустановить порт x11/libX11 и/или поставить юникодную локаль перед запуском сервера.

На всякий случай посмотрел, у меня Xorg с такими же правами.

После переустановки libX11 запустил Иксы от обычного пользователя через startx -- :1,
непомню до переустановки libX11 запускал через startx -- :1 или только через startx,
хотя
вроде пытался запустить и неполучалось,
но теперь через startx -- :1 Иксы запустились.
Не понимаю почему Иксы через startx от обычного пользователя не запускаются !!!
Дисплей 0 свободен, то есть Иксы больше ни от кого не запущены.
Пытался запустить firefox от этого же юзера, ноль эмоций.
Вышел из Иксов, а они мне через консоль и говорят:

Нет nvidia-driver я вообще не устанавливал.
Это остаток от дефолтной конфигурации иксов при первой их(Иксовой) установке в 7.0 RELEASE .

Похоже moused не поддерживает данную модель тачпадов( GlidePoint )
А следовательно не может настроить и просто выгружает его
и затем загружает модуль mouse с умолчальными настройками, либо
просто неправильно указан протокол, а сам он определить его не может,
что более вероятно, поскольку если в качестве протокола использовать
"glidepoint",
то курсорчик в Иксах начинает себя странно вести:
дрыгается, забивается в левый верхний угол, эмулирует нажатие правой кнопки( появляется контекстное меню )
в общем работать в таком состоянии с ним невозможно, но по-крайней мере он подаёт признаки жизни.
Просто он не те события посылает устройству и соответственно не та реакция какая хотелось бы.
И в логе появляются странные опции, ранее не проявлявшие своего существования и более того нигде не документированные,
по-крайней мере я не нашёл их ни в одной из документаций на грызунов.

судя по логу кроме загрузки модуля ничего и не происходит.
Попробуй удалить драйвер xf86-input-mouse, а то похоже он забирает /dev/psm0 раньше чем это делает xf86-input-synaptics.
Или как алтернативный вариант обратно добавить в секцию InputDevice, где указан synaptics, опцию CorePointer.
Просто, судя по логу, сервер у тя использует дефолтный InputDevice

Synaptics не работает, как я наисследовал, без опций Device и Protocol.
А точнее если они не указаны или указаны не правильно, то драйвер synaptics выгружается и
загружается драйвер mouse, а уж тот всё что есть определит правильно, то есть
если
не запущен moused, то нет-ли есть-ли, а он в качестве девайса поставит /dev/psm0, а
если запущен moused, то он в качестве девайса поставит /dev/sysmouse.
А с протоколом если вообще нет, то и psm и sysmouse выставляют "Auto" и затем автоопределением
определяют протокол.
У меня для sysmouse определяется SysMouse, а
для psm определяется GlidePointPS/2.

Я вроде все возможные маны по мышам перечитал(moused, mouse, sysmouse, psm, synaptics, может чего еще просто не вспомнил ), а
такого( GlidePointPS/2 ) нигде не видел.
В отличии от загрузки с запущенным moused и sysmouse в качестве устройства
загрузка без moused и psm в качестве устройства, как мне кажется проходит нормально для synaptics'а

Нет. Никакие другие не использую. Только тачпад.
