ATI 3150 driver 8.0 Stable

день добрый - cтоит карточка ATI 3150 - при запуске xorg черный экран... читал где-то драйверы еще не скоро будут, это так не знаете??
Если так, то подскажите как xorg через vesa драйвер загрузить ..? спасибо :smile:

вообщем
если есть сомнения насчет дравера
заведите на vesa
если все будет работать
а после подстановки интелловского драйвера - не будет работать
значит все таки драйвер хандрит

хотя судя по гуглу
может быть какойто libdrm кривоват

Драйвер x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel не поддерживает ее, и вообще ооочень не скоро будет поддерживать, по причине отсутствия KMS во ФриБСД.
У вас один вариант - только VESA. По-другому никак. Вообще

не хочу флудить, скажу только что Xorg -configure выдал конфу при которой ничего не грузилось а в хендбуке не одного слова про vesa не сказано. каждый второой если не КАЖДЫЙ юзер первый раз сталкивающийся с подобный, не найдет в хендбуке как загрузить альтернативный vesa драйвер и полезет спрашивать. Сделано это видимо для того чтобы опытные юзеры могли поорать RTFM на новичков. Хотя для новичка найти нужный мануал и в нем найти конфигурации vesa практически нереально... вот так и живем одной большой семьей :Search:

Другой вопрос как звук теперь поднять - kldload snd_driver загружает без проблем но звука нет... где надо допиливать может знаешь ? карточка вроде ICH7 inteloвская тоже

В чем проблема было описано выше, тов.Mox.

Зато в хендбуке сказано где лежит файл xorg.conf, что само-собой должно заставить человека в него заглянуть, тем более что в хендбуке сказано, о том что туда надо внести изменения. И если вникать в суть этого конфига, то можно найти строчку Driver и чисто логически понять что за значения должны быть в ней.
Сделано это видимо для того чтобы опытные юзеры могли поорать RTFM на новичков. Хотя для новичка найти нужный мануал и в нем найти конфигурации vesa практически нереально... вот так и живем одной большой семьей :Search:
Знаете, я когда был начинающим, тоже имел трудности, но тем не менее брал хендбук, брал маны и разбирался в таких простых вещах как первичная настройка иксов. В конце-концов надо полностью осознавать, что такое опенсоурс сообщество, и что вам никто ничего не должен.

ну подождать нужно юудет возможно пол года и более. Да и если будет эта фича, то только в каренте.
загружаешь систему, после чего kldload snd_driver, потом показываешь последние строчки (можно и 10 строк) dmesg.

у тебя snd_hda. Кстати, если не ошибаюсь, там теперь появился 5.1 и 7.1 канальный звук!

А новые нетбуки берите, только фря там будет работать не очень. Если конечно они не на ИОНе =)
