После обновления портов 3 апреля сломался Xorg.

Запускаю Xfce4, а на экране только рябая картинка с крестиком в центре.

Клавиатура отключается (нельзя послать сигнал завершения X по Alt+Ctrl+BkSp) — приходится нажимать аппаратную кнопку выключения системного блока.

% X -configure
% X - config /root/xorg.conf.new
— картина та же самая.

Пробовал задействовать драйвера "nv", "vesa". Бесполезно.

Полностью удалил каталог /usr/local и уже большую часть ПО переустановил из обновлённого дерева портов, но проблема так и не решилась. Клавиатура отвалена, видеодрайверы не работают. Только голые X'ы (без окон терминалов) и мышь работают.

Что делать?

P.S.
Установка на голую систему одного только Xorg проблемы не решает: при запуске startx появляется рябая картинка с крестиком в центре экрана, клавиатура и мышь не работают.

Да. До этого ведь ничего не ломалось.

Проблема обнаружена: им оказался демон hald.
Решение: отключил запуск демона hald в /etc/rc.conf

халд вообще хорошо расколбасили последнее время - у меня с ним флешки отказывались работать - тока при отключенном...

После обновления портов 3 апреля сломался Xorg.

Запускаю Xfce4, а на экране только рябая картинка с крестиком в центре.
Кстати на будушее если я прав но именно эта картинка может служить подтверждением именно того что Хы стартовали успешно вот если бы не было крестика то это бы был симптом.
